Schmidt products have been around for 50+ years. The founders, the Schmidt family, sold the company in the last 90’s to an international conglomerate. In the early 2000’s the new parent company made the decision to close the manufacturing plant in Fresno Texas. Their plan was to outsource the Schmidt products from manufacturers that were not in the surface preparation business and supply their own distribution centers throughout the world.
This move would have destroyed the virtues of honor, quality, and product development that Schmidt was known for.
Axxiom was created in 2004 by a group of people intimate with the original Schmidt company. Our mission was to resurrect the reputation of Schmidt products and reclaim our place in the market. We believed in the virtues of honor, quality, and product development, and we wanted to continue the Schmidt vision and provide the very best abrasive blasting equipment and parts in the industry.
