Wet blast, dry blast, softwash™ and blowoff all in one innovative
unit
The AmphiBlast system is the industry's most efficient and productive dual-purpose abrasive blaster. Unlike other blast systems that mix abrasive and water inside the vessel, the AmphiBlast system injects water into the blast stream after the metering valve, using a patent-pending, user-friendly and uniquely precise water injection system. With this system, you can quickly and consistently control every aspect: fine-tune air, abrasive and water flows to achieve optimal blasting performance, all while maintaining efficient use of grit and water. Switch between wet or dry blast, blowoff, and softwash™ without having to reset your air, abrasive or water, using a central, easy-to-use gauge console.
At the heart of the abrasive control system is the robust Schmidt Thompson® Valve II, used globally for nearly two decades and capable of metering a wide range of coarse or fine abrasives in the AmphiBlast system. Dry blasting with the AmphiBlast features the same productivity gains and safety advantages found only in Schmidt systems. When wet blasting, operators can set and immediately see any change in water flow by using the gauge readout. This allows the operator to dial in and consistently repeat the water flow for minimal water consumption, maximum productivity, minimum abrasive use, or any other preference.
Softwash™/Blowoff
The unique softwash feature automatically lowers blast air pressure and increases water flow for an effective, gentle rinse at the flip of a switch. Flip the switch back, and the unit returns to the same blast pressure setting as before. Changing to blowoff mode is just as easy, and also provides a lower blast air pressure for easier, safer, and quieter operation.
The AmphiBlast Lite 3.5 is the newest addition to the Schmidt® AmphiBlast family of versatile and productive, wet/dry abrasive blasting systems. It includes all of the same innovative and easy to use features, packaged in a smaller, more mobile system. This “lite” system offers nimble yet heavyweight performance for all of your abrasive blasting needs.
Operation of the AmphiBlast Lite is simple. Set the desired blast pressure using the blast pressure control regulator. Choose to blast dry or wet by pushing or pulling a button on the control panel. During wet abrasive blasting, simply dial the water pressure regulator to the desired flow rate represented by the water over air differential pressure gauge reading. This streamlines the control of the blast pressure and the control of the amount of water injected into the airstream while blasting. You have precise control of the air, grit, and water flow to lock in optimal blasting performance with efficient grit and water consumption. Once optimal flow parameters are set, switching between normal blasting settings and lower air pressure for Softwash™ and blow off is consistent, fast, and easy.
The AmphiBlast Lite requires connection to an external water source and compressed air.
The Mini AmphiBlast™ 1.5 is the newest addition to the Schmidt® AmphiBlast family of the industry's most productive dual function wet/dry blasting systems. The compact and light design allows for simple maneuvering into job sites or locations not normally accessible by larger pots.
The Mini AmphiBlast provides low cost and high productivity all in one unit. Available in electric and pneumatic modes, all units include an electric water pump, a simple control panel, and the power and reliability of the Schmidt Teravalve™ XL™.
The Mini AmphiBlast comes in two options, standard and with an on-board water tank.
The Bulk AmphiBlast uses the efficiency and productivity gains of the acclaimed Schmidt® bulk blasters, combined with the innovation of the AmphiBlast technology to produce a superior dual-purpose system for high production environments.
