The Astro’s abrasion-resistant polyethylene helmet shell is reliable, durable, and NIOSH-approved, with a High Pressure Control Valve or Low Pressure Constant Flow Valve. The replaceable cape cover band prevents abrasives from entering by sealing the top of the durable nylon cape.

The soft inner collar provides a comfortable seal around the neck. The helmet’s high-strength Visor Strap keeps tension on the visor and is easy to use even with blasting gloves. The sturdy visor frame with molded hinge keeps the large, flat, distortion-free lens securely in place (replacement lenses and optional tear-off lenses available).

The removable hard-hat type suspension allows for no-hassle adjustment, replacement and cleaning, and its hand strap makes for easy transport and storing; helmet components may be replaced using conventional tools.

The helmet’s Flexible Breathing Tube and sound-dampening system provides workers with a quiet work environment. The Low Pressure Astro Helmet is also sold as a complete kit, which contains a 50 foot airline hose and ambient pump.
