My abrasive valve wears out too fast.

You likely have excessive Differential pressure. Differential pressure is the difference between the pot pressure and blast air pressure (pusher line). Excessively high differential pressure in either direction will accelerate wear.

How do I fix this problem? We have had 4 MV II's wear very quickly with slots cut up the inside of the body. The base nipple is not worn at all. It is a 6.5 Combo pot with a G2 handle and 66' deadman line. We are using 30/60 garnet, not recyled.

If the valve wears out in the top portion above the plunger then that is caused by negative differential pressure (the pusher hose is maintaining more pressure than the vessel) most likely caused by a leak in the vessel (main places to check are the exhaust hose, pop up/sealing ring, and mainway). If the valve wears out below the plunger (base nipple) then that would be caused by positive differential pressure (the vessel is maintaining more pressure than the pusher hose) most likely caused by running the pot in the choked condition for prolonged periods.
